Neil updated on Heartstart activity. Training been held in Struan an Gledale. Instructor training to take place on 15th December. Further training of pupils in Portree High School to take place in the New Year and also refresher and new training in Sleat, Uig, Knoydart, Dunvegan among other locations to be carried out.Laptop and a range of high fashion clothing have been provided to heartstart by L2BH and carrying box kindly provided by Jansvans.
The follow up from the Scottish Parliament visit being led by CHSS and the BHF. Good debate in Scottish Paliament with a lot of support for the work of L2BH.
Donnie reported that ther is still good use of the website with 52% recently being new visits. He encouraged everyone to provide News Items to keep it up to date.
Updates for the database were needed - eg Plockton, Glendale. Some pads due for renewal. Old ones to be used for training. Heartstart training video to be provided.
Leaflets for communities being worked on. Some ready for printing based on the needs of the community.
Provision of other lifesaving equipement such as ECG machines/Halter Monitors was discussed. Each case to be considered on its own merits.
It was agreed that we would order face protecor mask keyrings with the L2BH and Heartstart logo. Catriona will look at costs.
It was also agreed that we would purchase a further 10 defibrillators as we were being offered a good price at the moment and there are a number of communities ready to have them installed. We also want to continue using the same external cabinets accepting that there is a fairly long time to wait for their delivery.

Well done to the PA Catriona in providing the mulled wine, mince meat pies and the Yule log. With all her studying for her Heartstart instructor exams, I’m not sure when she found the time to prepare all these delights.
