Be Brave, Aim High!

On the 16th June 2018, Alastair successfully cycled the SW300.  A 24 hours long gruelling challenge, covering 300 miles through the stunning scenery of the remote South West of Scotland.  L2BH was delighted to be one of his three chosen charities, receiving a £1,000 donation towards our work.  Thank you Alastair!

Russell's LeJoG 2016

In August 2016, Russell Jones from Kingussie undertook a solo, unsupported  ‘end to end’ 900 mile cycle challenge from Land's End to John O' Groats over a ten day period to raise funds for Lucky2BHere and Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland. His decision to embark on this challenge was principally in memory of his brother, Mike who suffered a sudden hemorrhagic stoke in March and sadly passed away 4 days later without regaining consciousness. Following that in June, a good friend suffered a stroke and is now battling his way back to fitness.

Russell has been well connected with Lucky2BHere since the charity was formed and is now the lead Emergency Life Support trainer in the Badenoch & Strathspey area.

Both charities are indebted to Russell for his endeavours which has raised over £9000. Thank You!

Russell is pictured having safely arrived at John O'Groats.
