Fundraising for Lucky2BHere

With the support of ordinary people and communities across the country we have achieved nearly 500 public access defibrillators and trained over 5,000 people in emergency life support skills.  You too can take on the challenge to raise funds for a defibrillator in your area or help us raise awareness through education in schools and maintaining the skills of local communities.

You can raise funds in any way you like, we've seen charity football matches, golf tournaments, participation in races and all manner of personal challenges!  We support the Highland Cross, Skye Half Marathon and many individual entrants along with a wide range of sporting events each year.

Some of the most memorable challenges to date have been:

  • Pam Smith & Megan Cowie who swam 4 miles in open water from the Isle of Raasay to the Isle of Skye. When they had the idea Pam was a non-swimmer!
  • Donnie Nicolson & Robert Holding who participated in a race across the Gobi Desert
  • Colleagues from Grampian Police who cycled over the Lecht summit from Aberdeen to Skye
  • Graham & Toni (Team G&T) who cycled from Lands End to John O'Groats
