JustGiving - Sponsor me now!

Welcome to Lucky2BHere. We hope that you will find our work of interest

and that you may wish to become involved in supporting us in our efforts.

Lucky2Bhere is a registered charity established in 2007 to raise funds to

provide emergency lifesaving equipment such as defibrillators in rural areas.

We aim to reduce response times by having equipment widely available and

give the opportunity to help save lives. Training in the use of the equipment

is provided to the communities involved through the Heartstart Team and is

free of charge to L2BH and to the participants.

Our fundraising centres around the promotion of improving lifestyle and the setting of personal targets. Initially this was mainly through people running the Isle of Skye Half Marathon

The Isle of Skye Half Marathon is still a main fundraiser for us and in 2012 we entered a partnership with them and supplied T Shirts and L2BH. We have had some major fundraising Challenges over the years including the Berlin Marathon, the Gobi Challenge, Cycling from Aberdeen to Portree, Swimming from Raasay to Skye, the Iceland Marathon, the Three Peaks Challenge and many other events.

Often participants in the events have never done anything like this before and they have set their own personal targets. This all links in with our aim of promoting health and exercise.

Example of Leaflets

We are keen to empower communities and enthuse them into raising funds for
equipment in their areas as well as taking responsibility for the on-going
training of people to use it. We are working with the Scottish Parliament, the British Heart Foundation and Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland to make ELS training part of the curriculum in all Scottish Schools.
